As part of our long-term succession planning for an upcoming retirement, we are looking for a new team member to strengthen our organization. Working in a small and dedicated team, you will actively contribute to our PCB designs from the initial concept through to series production.
You will create schematics and PCB layouts, maintain our ECAD data and libraries, and prepare the required production documentation. You will independently manage your projects while working closely with our hardware and mechanical engineers as well as our production team. Where required, you will also coordinate with external PCB layout partners.
Job requirements
YOUR PLAYGROUND
Development and design of printed circuit boards (PCBs), including schematic capture and PCB layout using ECAD/CAD tools
Research, selection, and definition of electronic components as well as maintenance of ECAD libraries
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, material data, production data, and purchasing data in SAP and DDM (PDM system)
Definition and management of PCB and assembly variants from development through to series production
Implementation of technical changes and design modifications, including PCN/PTN processes
Independent management of PCB design projects in close collaboration with hardware engineering, mechanical engineering, and production
Technical coordination and collaboration with suppliers, external PCB layout service providers, and development partners
Technical support for supplier inquiries and externally provided engineering services
YOUR PROFILE
Technical vocational training as an Electronics Technician, a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in PCB layout and PCB design are required for this position
Good knowledge of PCB manufacturing, production processes, PCB layout and design guidelines, as well as EMC requirements
Hands-on experience with electronic components and ECAD/CAD systems is essential, preferably Altium Designer
Experience with PDM systems and SAP is an advantage
An independent and structured way of working, combined with a strong commitment to quality
Good written and spoken English and German skills are required for this position
